I did not see a thread like this anywhere on this board. So I shall create it.

Post what music you are currently listening to.

If you are not listening to music currently you must weep and post what music you wish you were listening to.

    Unfortunately, I am currently listening to whiney electronics. Not whiney Electronica, which would be infinitely preferrable. I've actually got Sex Bob-Omb set to play, I just need to not be moving around so much so I can listen to them.

    I've been listening to random music from warrenellis.com, but now I'm at work and silence reigns, broken only by the quiet clicking of keyboards and the sad slurping of coffee.

    ...oddly poetic. Silence is... an odd thing. It's not completely silent here - a coworker is playing emo music softly from his speakers two desks over... which means it's about time for me to bust out the headphones and get my Bob-omb on.

    I can't deal with the constant clicking of drones associated with life in a cube farm. Music is required for me to work efficiently and make my sanity checks.

    The Immortals - Scorpion (Lost Soul Bent on Revenge) from Mortal Kombat: The Album.

    Wow...I didn't realize I even still had this little gem from '94.

    To be fair, it's not a cube farm here... maybe a cube window pot... five desks in here... and mostly I spend my day running around like I'm crazy (I am, but that's not the point).

    My current poison of choice is Coole Swan, but the terrible thing is, you can't buy it outside of Ireland. Cruel world! I have to nurse my last bottle until I get to go back across the pond.

    The semi-poetry was intentional - that's how I make my sanity checks. Streaming music is not looked kindly on here, I guess because bandwidth is short or something. I keep meaning to bring in a flash drive, but it hasn't happened yet.

    Ideally right now, I'd like to be listening to something sad and classical-sounding - the Kronos Quartet, maybe, or maybe something by Rachmaninoff or Beethoven - I find sunny afternoons to be the most depressing part of a day at the office. I can't see the sun, from where I sit, and it can't see me. In a gray chair, at a gray desk, inside a gray cube, with only an artificial breeze and a glowing screen to keep me company, it's hard to remember how beautiful it is outside.

    And with that, I'm taking a bloody break to get some sun.

    Dairy liquors are fantastic for making hardcore milkshakes, or drinking on their onesies. Mostly the latter. It's hard to come up with good mixes for it, though. Belfast was beautiful in June - it's a pity I didn't get to spend time in Dublin, but them's the breaks. Next time, though.

    San checks are important, JayVee. No streaming here either, which is why I am currently listening to the entire Bunkka album by Paul Oakenfold - I need to widen my music selection here, as it's somewhat limited. I'm open to suggestions!

    Currently:
    * Red Hot Chili Pipers (x2 albums)
    * Paul Oakenfold
    * Holy F@#$
    * Blind Zero
    * Journey
    * LCD Soundsystem
    * Motion City Soundtrack (x2)
    * Irish Mixtape (Mostly suitable for St. Patties day Only)
    * Straight no Chaser
    * Royal Wood
