Someone who's name shall not be mentioned, had said they didn't even realize that there was a comment button on the campaign homepage. Which I can sort of understand since the campaign homepage is usually one of the more visually striking pages. So I set about making the comment button a little more obvious. In my case, I enlisted the help of an animated short tempered alien to act as my ambassador to the comment section.
/* Comment Section*/
.small-12.columns.comment-count-column {
background-image: url(https://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/campaigns/124016/assets/664042/Comment.gif);
height: 300px;
background-position:center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}.comment-count-wrapper {
height: 300px;
}
.comment-count-wrapper .count {
padding-top: 250px;
}
.comment-count-wrapper dd{font-size:100%;}
So feel free to head on over and take a look https://x-com-defiance.obsidianportal.com/ and I'd do as my ambassador says.
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Hey that was me ;)
And that comments thing is the first thing I'm incorporating when I can afford to upgrade my account again and play with CSS. Thanks a googolplex for figuring it out. I am saving the code!

So, any way to change the size of the image though? Text seems to be cutting off on mine and figured i'd ask BEFORE I went and redid the gif

I finally sacrificed my 5 bucks in the name of hammering a few proud nails on my site ... and I put my comments gif up too.

It was going to be temporary, but now I anaconda attached to it. Now I am compelled to think up a villain for Salma there to repserpent. In any case, I hope it doesn't invite any venomous criticisms -- or hisssssy fits, after all, she's wearing a garter. People can be such asps. My fangs for the comment!

Looks good even if Salma makes my mouth water. :)
I mean... she is fantastic!
This thread inspired me some, even if I went a bit different path. I chose some toned down CSS animations instead, a border for the comment and a pulse for the favorite. I'm not sure if I "sold" it okay, but the empty favorite heart gets pretty excited at the thought you might click it.
Unfortunately, once you do, its a pretty boring filled favorite heart. Maybe I should have the heart continue to pulse after favorited, just not get excited... Thoughts?

Campaign of the Year - 2018
Jim, my campaign has it's viper lady also and people get real attached to her too.
Bortas, it your toned down images look good. I was originally thinking about a more toned down approach but an aliens taking over earth isn't really toned down.
