I updated the site with a different font. So hopefully that will help with the reading issues.

I will be adding equipment as needed to the Weapons and Equipment page. I was mostly just showing my players how the system works.

I will see about tags for all the pages. As far as the back and Main Page links I am not sure how to make it go back to the part of the page that it came from. Do you know the code for that? I am self taught and there are many gaps in my coding knowledge.

I will be running Episode 7 this Sunday. The banner art was just a way to tease the players with what they will be dealing with. Create a little anticipation if you will. :D

I will consider adding more images to the logs but frankly it all comes down to having time to add them to each log. I put images in my logs on the Emerald City site and have over 300 for that and to be honest it has gotten a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with it.

Thank you both for offering suggestions. I really appreciate it.

June 2016 CotM:  Star Wars: Rise of the Infinite Empire

For your consideration, I present my group's campaign Athos : The Return. I think it's a great example of where the mind of the players and DM came together to create a fantastic and immersive world. This campaign has been running for nearly three years and we have nearly 60 adventure logs (61 sessions, 58 logs - session 62 next week!) Our campaign has some custom CSS, but what really makes our campaign shine is the dedication that the players and myself have put into the lore and info on this.

D&D 4e is often looked down upon due to its heavy focus on combat, but I think we've really pushed the boundaries here to make a campaign that's above and beyond textbook 4th edition.

Please let me know what you think!

Currently, OP is having an issue with embedded videos. Our campaign utilizes this, so please judge kindly in regards to our video not being up.

    Intro Video

    Campaign
    https://athos-the-return.obsidianportal.com/

We already plan on adding a "back to adventure logs" link at the bottom of each of our logs, it'll just take a while since we have so many logs.

I've been on here once before and made a few changes, looking to see where else we can improve to hopefully make CotM once it starts back up.

@Lazarus1219, without getting into a full on review, I can say that (unless it's just Firefox and/or just me), there appears to be some manner of width issue on the site, causing the right side column to appear below the main content section.
    All the best,

It is not just you or Firefox. Tested with Firefox 40, IE 11 and Chrome 45 all three experience the side column to appear below the main content section.

    They are among us!

Last year or so my players committed a series of bad decisions which led to their downfall. We decided then to kick the campaign in 5e as I preferred it over 4th. Over 300 days later, our schedules aligned to the point where we could get a stable game again, and I'm back at maintaining our Obsidian Portal page (http://kavan.obsidianportal.com). The layout started by using Basileus' Outremer template, though I've slowly been introducing my own changes. The wiki is much more organized than before, also thanks to Basileus and others in the New Plot Club.

Any feedback would be helpful. The site started out as a resource for my players, obviously, but I'd like to get it to a point where outsiders can visit and see what's been going on at our table. It's a little haphazard as I'm adding and revising year-old pages somewhat randomly, and some pages I've long since marked for revision are still up in their old mediocrity.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't have time for a full review, but the main issue I see is the grey type is very difficult to read- I would change the color to something brighter.

    Hey nellshini

I don't usually spend much time on this thread but I guess you seem to have changed the font color since KVP's comment. (I can see how GREY would be a problem). The site looks great. I love the moon, but what I love MOST is the shiny hover over text effect! That is really cool!

After reading killervp's comment I changed it from dimgray to azure. It pops out a lot more and only seems to be hard to read when it's in front of the moon. The hover effect is another thing I have to give Basileus credit for but I'm now thinking of changing its color just a smidge as well. It's not at the top of my list, though.

But thanks to those who checked it out. I appreciate the input and am always open to more.

Sorry for the delay; was at ESLOne this weekend. I need to neaten up the CSS a little bit, but you can always find it at http://pastebin.com/zMVihS7s until then.

14 more fans to go and we hit the "Century Club".

"Unconquered Kingdoms":https://unconquered-kingdoms.obsidianportal.com/ would probably do better if we consistently updated the daily forums into adventure logs that anyone could see, but hey, time...

    Campaign for review please-

Goonalan's 5th Edition D&D Campaigns is an attempt to record the action from my three (or four) ongoing games. I'm not adept (at all) when it comes to computers, I struggle to understand html even at a very basic level- using Obsidian Portal, at first, really bent my mind but I got the hang of it. I want to get some pointers about easy-ish ways to make the site better looking, but not at the cost of function.

My main players use the site to read up on the sessions, and to remember who they've met and when and where.

    Site is here-

Thanks for taking the time, sincerely appreciated.

Well, you know I'm a fan of your campaign, but from a design standpoint I think a centralized color scheme could be helpful. As-is the site is a little heavy on the eyes. e.i. the video image is gold and red, but the background is grey and blue, and then the fonts are a different blue, and the accent is red but the headers are orange. I like the blue/grey colors of your background with orange accents, how it's muted and maybe drawing that through out? I'm just spouting graphic designer stuff so you can also choose to completely ignore me haha.

Well, the fonts are slowly gonna be changing as my Graphics Artist gets to it

Alot of changes happening on the site though too. The Campaign Seasons are now DVD menus with their own Episode Selection Screens and such

And making mads to the Character Sheets too

    and More coming

    Goonalan-
Sorry, was crazy with the holidays, and completely missed your post. Quick review of "Goonlan's D&D 5th Edition":https://the-european-union-d-d-5th-edition-campaign.obsidianportal.com/
First, the name is not great- and the actual link is worse. I would definitely suggest a change there.

*Start Page-* Banner is very dull. Tree background original, but no idea of connection to campaign. No background for type- just black on white. Nothing here grabs me except that you are using 1 page for 2 campaigns....

*Adventure Logs-* If you are not going to use them, I would CSS out the link.

*Wiki-* Basic set up. You obviously have a detailed world, but it does not shine through. It takes a lot of clicks to get to the logs. For instance, the EU campaign took 3 clicks to get to the last session's log, Session 19. The log itself was cool, but it is difficult to get there.

*Characters-* Love the questionnaire, but you should have the players incorporate it into their bio. I really love that questionnaire though- really well done.

*Overall-* A solid start. I think that you should have a separate page for each campaign, and use this as a navigation if you still want it. You should add some background for the text, and make it easier to find things.

As always, just my 2 cents. Feel free to pm me with any questions!

Hello everyone! I'm kinda new here, so please go easy as I'm still getting the hang of things!

I have a campaign on here (Force Unbridled - I don't know how to set up my signature or link it) and was looking for some feedback on it's usefulness and functionality. Players are finding it helpful, but ideally I'd like it to be a resource for the community at large for ideas and rules clarifications (as I discover them and add them to the wiki).

    Anyway, feedback is appreciated!

    Review of Azelana's "Force Unbridled":https://force-unbridled.obsidianportal.com/

*Start Page*- Banner is very OK. It says Star Wars, which is fine, but something I see on prett5y much every Star Wars campaign here, including the one my group ran. The background image is interesting, but the Wiki covers most of it, including the person that is the center of the image, so, I'd recommend saving that image for something else and using something Star Warsy but not blocked by the Wiki. The Scroll is cool. I like it. Though, if you want a video of it, go to Star Wars.com and use their Scroll maker. Might need a way to DL the video though.

*Adventure Logs*- A tad confusing. Lessons from the Past part 1 is at the top (and while visually cool, very hard to read), followed by Lure of the Lost Part 5 - Finale, Finding Rav Naaran, HK-1040 Data Log 2, and then Lure of the Lost Part 4. I'm assuming the two between Part 5 and Part 4 are Logs entered by players, which is always great to have (kudos there), but you should find a means of indicating they are Journals and such.

*Wiki*- Basic set up. ALOT of information, which is a plus. However, the crossed out letters where there is no entry can be distracting.

Characters- Images are defintiely Star Wars. And your players have provided alot of information for their backgrounds, which is always great. The links to download the Character sheet and Character Folio are a great idea (something I might even steal :) ). Also like under the NPC's you have entries for Anakin and other main story Characters to help place your game within the Canon Time Line.

Overall- A solid start. It could use some more images, in my humble opinion, but its is a fun site to read through.

    Thanks for the feedback! A few questions I have though;

    1) The Adventure Log - I agree that the backwards nature of it isn't very ideal, I see the option to show it it oldest to newest on the right, but I don't know how to set it to default to this format. Any suggestions on how to set this up?

    2) Images - Where would you like to see more visual art? I was thinking of using it in the Wiki to make things more interesting (like Aurobesh symbols alongside the letters for the index - I just didn't want to make it hard to navigate), where would the site most benefit from it?

    To answer your question azelana:

    1) I BELIEVE, no guarantees though, this can be set from the Dashboard. If I am wrong someone please correct me and help Azalana out. Easiest thing really would just be to indicate things that are storyline/session synopsis from player created "Journal Entries"/accounts.

    2) Images are really up to you. Put them where you think they will be relevant. If you need inspiration, go look at some of the other amazing games on here for ideas. Thats honestly the best advice I can give ya
