Thank you to the staff at Obsidian Portal for the work you do keeping this strange, stubborn, wonderful corner of the hobby alive, and thank you to everyone who voted for Island of the Prince. Being named Campaign of the Month for January 2026 genuinely means a great deal to me. This campaign has been built piece by piece over years, with a lot of care, late nights, historical rabbit holes, and a willingness to let the story be uncomfortable when it needs to be. To see that effort recognized by both the platform and the community is deeply humbling.
I’ve always known this campaign isn’t for everyone, and I’ve never tried to make it be. Island of the Prince doesn’t chase trends, doesn’t smooth over rough edges, and doesn’t aim for broad appeal, it aims for depth, consequence, and a very specific kind of story. I’ve never liked doing what everyone else was doing, and I never will. That’s exactly why this recognition hits so hard: it tells me that taking the harder path, trusting my instincts, and committing fully to a distinct vision was worth it. Thank you all for seeing that, and for believing in the campaign as much as I do.

The work and care you put into your campaign really shows, and it clearly resonated with the community.
