Calendar Announcements.
So I"ve got my players into using the calendar finally. Is there any way we can get granular control over the announcements like we have in other areas of the site?
I know I can remove inactive or dead PCs but that messes with my organization and those characters may come back into play as guest stars. Being able to choose who does and does not get updates will keep me from annoying former players with constat updates that do not pertain to them.

This may be what you're saying you already know, but the Calendar notification is based on the Player (the person/account) being a member of the campaign, not on their Character being a PC or not.
So you could remove those Players from the Campaign in the Campaign Settings > Players tab, and then they would receive the notifications for that Campaign. And then if those Players come back to "guest star" at some point, they could be re-invited/added to the Campaign's Players at that point.
Removing a PC's Player doesn't change the Character's status as a Player Character, so the Character would still stay in the Player Character section of the Character page.
Other than removing the Player from the Campaign, there's not currently a way to select specific members to notify or not for a Calendar Event.
