    Hey Folks,

Greetings from Down Under (Australia to those not in the know). I'm a Brit who emmigrated down to Australia a few years back, since then I've done everything possible to prove that you don't have to love the outdoor life or look like Crocodile Dundee to live here. I've been a tabletop wargamer for many years and even convinced my wife it was a good idea. She and I now spend many a weekend either gaming or painting minis but recently my interest has been swayed back to RPG's by Dark Heresy the Warhammer 40k roleplay. Tabletop games are magnificent fun but they only capture the battle aspect of things - Dark Heresy feels much more like the books that depict the universe and allows me to scrape below the veneer of constant war.

Six months ago I discovered the Gamers Guild here in Perth Western Australia, a weekly gathering of some 40+ people who come together exclusively for RPG's. At the time I was looking to join a DH game but when none were available, I decided to round-up some of my table top gaming mates and dust off my GM'ing skills.

Right now we're six months in to our first campaign with 8 players, an NPC cast of hundreds and so much going on it takes two of us to manage the GM's chair.

I was getting bogged down by all of the between play emails and admin and I was looking for a solution to help me organise things. I had people looking at PHP and various blogging tools and then suddenly on Friday I found Obsidian Portal and life just got a little easier. So congrats to the organisers and moderators of this glorious website - you guys are going to allow me to keep my sanity for another few months!
