Greetings all!
I've wanted to start this for awhile now, figured now is as good a time as any to get the ball rolling with it. (Moderator note: I created this in General Discussion for maximum newbie exposure) I have created on my testbed site a small sort of CSS tutorial. I'll be updating it with code snippets (as examples and whatnot) from Rise of the Durnskald so that folks who want to do what I've done can pick and choose the code as they please. I figure that, if nothing else anyways, this will make it easier for new Ascendant members to style things.
Here's the link to the hub page: https://abersade-testbed.obsidianportal.com/wikis/css-help-main-hub
If anyone has any suggestions/corrections for me I'm all ears, if anyone wants to contribute that's great too. Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
~ Abersade, GM of https://rise-of-the-durnskald.obsidianportal.com/

Here is a collected page of CSS that I've used, plan on using, or saw the use to possibly use. I didn't start keeping track of authors until later.

That's some good stuff there weasel0, and the best part is that it has comments already.

For those who are interested: I have created a CSS Overview page (I still have a bit to do with this one), a General page (covering CSS code that affects everything), and a left navigation bar page (CSS that affects the left navigation bar).
More to come soon.

Most of the CSS for this (and my other sites) is based on Stonemason's Ledger by Basileus

Ketherian! I just realized I nabbed the parchment backgrounds from S&P and probably a lot of that CSS. Just fanned you, I'll make sure to credit you on my page when I update Serpents next.

Thanks Jim_Mount. The link back is very nice of you; but remember I nabbed it from Stonemason's Ledger by Basileus, so don't forget to link to his work as well. :D
Hrm... after reading your post, I updated that page. My CSS has changed a bit (see the Logs page, for an example), and then there's this: FFF sample page. The latter parts aren't optimized, but they do work.

I should edit mine to add my Demo campaign CSS.
I use my tutorial to screw around with all the CSS. The Demo campaign is used to build a working/usable format. There a bunch of odd things going on with the teaching myself one as its just a "what's this do?" playground.

As I can't edit my upper post: Parade is my formal campaign that is running with working code. The collection is just that.

Hello again folks, here's a fun bit of code that I'm using to make the CSS box bigger by default. It's annoying having to resize it every time I refresh the page. I figured I'd share it.

Oh, I really like the way you have image coded the chronicle posts. I'm certainly going to give that some thought, a very clean and neat system. Thumbs up!

Thanks very much for that. I have a few effects on there that are a little trickier to get all the code for (like the ticker on the homepage, or the mouseover images on that same page), but if anyone is interested I can nab the code for them and post it somewhere (granted, those familiar with things can easily prune the needed code from source).
But yea, the image coded Adventure Log was something I thought could really help the reader associate what posts they want to read and what they might want to skip (as well as denoting the formatting of how the post is composed to some degree). While my players haven't taken advantage of it yet it is also prepped for them to do "personal journal entries" as we go on (once I get back to running that DA game).
The other big thing I have done with a lot of my code is trying to ensure it all remains responsive like the core OP pages so it works good on all screen sizes. My CSS contains a fair bit of conditional code for that to cover any instances where I noted problems coming up. You can test easily on a PC by just resizing the browser window to smaller size and it will automatically switch to the code needed for that size of a view screen.

New Tip:
Want to change the labels of the page categories on the back end? Well here you go! You'll want to use your own names of course.
