So I am planning to run a urban based medieval fantasy campaign sometime in the near future. The issue I am having is developing the legal system for the city. I am an lawyer and when I started designing the system I quickly realized I was getting, well, more then a little too complicated. Does anyone have any applicable legal systems already fabricated that I can steal?
Thanks in advance!

A basic game of who can bribe the judge the best seems easy.
Or it's the hanging judge. 'Cause everyone's guilty of something.
