Hi there.

Trying to set up my wiki here for the first time. I want to link it to another wiki page (continent info wiki linking to the wiki of one of the kingdoms in it) but am having no luck. Cant find any kind of subwiki create so I made a new one and tried the basic html link.

<a href="  SITE  ">  TEXT  </a>

But it doesn't seem to work. I have seen it done here on obsidian portal, can anyone offer any info ?

    You can use

    [[the name of the linked wiki page]]

    or if you want some other text to appear in the link

    [[the name of the linked wiki page|The text of the description you want]]

    one of the decisions you will want to make early on is what editor you want to use; the CkEditor or the Textile editor. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The default is the CkEditor (i believe) personally i prefer the textile editor as it does have some nice features the CkEditor is missing.

    The deafault editor can be chosen under settings -> advanced

    CrEditor is a relatively recent addition to Obsidian Portal, and doesn't have as much support from either the site or the community. You'll get lots of assistance from your peers if you go with Textile, though.

    You are correct cgregory. The CKEditor was set to be the default editor for every new campaign created after its release date. Obviously it's no biggie to swap editors if desired, but the goal at the time was to sort of nudge players in its direction (since it was originally intended to render the textile editor a thing of the past), or at the very least get them to experiment with it before swapping (back) to the textile editor.

    All the best,

    Hi Valekk

    Welcome to Obsidian Portal.  With the current uncertainty of new upgrades through OPSupport, I would go for TEXTILE editor for the reasons UTM gave.

    Then you'd do something like this

    <a  href="https://x-com-defiance.obsidianportal.com/wikis/karma";

    <img src="http://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/campaigns/124016/assets/615746/karma.png">;

    </a>

    Where a href is the link to the web page you want to link to and scr is the url to your picture
