92 Player Stories and counting...

I find it really amazing that we are getting close to one hundred short stories in our campaign.

My players are really amazing, it's what keeps me going.

What would be a fun way to celebrate 100 stories?

And very cool stories they are, too!

Feel free to comment on any of them you like! I know the players appriciate it!

By the way, any idea on how to celebrate 100?

I really should get off my ass and do so. I blame my players keeping my busy with their insane adventures.

Hmm. As for your question, the temptation is to give them something special in-game, but that is at the risk of artifact inflation... Maybe have a minstrel pick up onthe stories and work some highlight into a game session?

I think it might depend on what that 100th story is. The contents of the story might give you more of a clue as to what to do.

Maybe make a banner for the story I don't know if your group does this sort of thing or not ? A piece of art for a scene. There are all kinds of things you can do.

What kind of banner are we talking about? You mean on the front page of the campain-page? or something in real life?

Every story has it's own image as you might see on the link above.

But perhaps art is a cool thing. Pay for a commision maybe. :)

Please do! Whenever a player gets a comment from a stranger they talk about it for a week!. :)

I use the stories they write in game all the time actually. Not as much as rewards in artifact or items, but more as in stories or npcs they create. But I like the ministrel idea a lot!

A fitting role for Taliesin, he's a bout to enter the story anyway.

Should i celberate the ACTUALL 100th story and it's contents? Or should I celebrate the whole "we have a total of 100 stories"?

I'd say the 'we have 100 stories' - and then pick one story per player for Taliesin to pick up on?

We celebrated our 100th adventure log with the death of one of the PCs to the hantavirus while suffering from the effects of withdrawal from some addictive combat drugs. I guess my players must be dreading the quickly approaching 200th adventure log. It might even occur at the same time as our 1 year campaign mark in March.  You probably don't want to kill off a character in celebration of the 100th post like I did.

Perhaps something on your front page that references either the 100th post or highlights some of the more memorable adventure logs. Perhaps a poem or song that talks about the characters adventures since you already have lyrics up there. I created a picture of the party around post #50. And a second one for Team B at post #150

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Since i already killed three players in one session (one in in an ambush one in the battle and one during the celebratory feast) very recently so I doubt they would appreciate me "killing of" more of them to celebrate! Pendragon is deadly as it is!

We also regularly use the stories (poems, songs, sessions and npcs they create) in our session, so I need to up the ante to celebrate it.

    Ideas I'm going with:

    1. Making a note of it on the front page of the site

    2. Introducing Taliesin (although he is still very young), and letting him bring songs from their stories.

    3. Making a note of players who contributed the most.

I'd really only do (3) on a rotating basis. Not as a one off "you're the best" thing.

    (1) I'd definately do.

    (2) sounds pretty cool too.

Oh as for killing players... I was really nervous about last night's session with only 2 players around for a scenario where they'd be going up against a giant and other monsters. I was looking at the stats and expecting 2 dead players. Guess what, not so much as a scratch on them and some very dead opponents ;)

Congrats on the 100 logs!  We have now gone over 1000 logs!  I gave xp in direct proportion to how many logs each person has written to celebrate.

    Just trying to help out.
