Saw this on Facebook.

A documentary by the BBC on fighting fantasy gamebooks which started with The Warlock of Firetop Mountain by Steve Jackson (the brit one, not the US designer of GURPs, Car Wars, GEV/Ogre, yadda yadda), and Ian Livingston who went on to found Games Workshop (creator of blood bowl, warhammer, warhammer 40k, yadda).

    Enjoy it guys!

Was hoping to be able to download it as an mp3, but not much luck.

If anyone can figure it out (might be on another BBC site), please post a link.

On a side note, BBC has a "World Book Club" series and they've had some great guest on there.
And yes, MP3 downloads are available.

For storycrafting, campaign setting, you might get some ideas from Neil Gaiman's creative process. He talks about "American Gods" in this "ep of the series":http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01fznhb (mp3 download available).

And, "father of cyberpunk" "William Gibson":http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02j2b59

It was an interesting listen, and made me pine for the fighting fantasy and choose your own adventure books of lore...

Tin man games are doing the fighting fantasy books as apps for you phone, and the majority of the lone wolf books are available as an app as well (can't recall the company name though)
