  It seems like the non-functioning of the media embed option is more related to how the edit window almost never fully opens for me (at least not automatically) and I have to manually increase the size, figured out a work around with the html coding and am able to add new videos now

  example of URL format that only works as legacy (e.g. what media embedding produces when I had put in videos months and months and probably over a year ago when it last worked), and doesn't work if you copy and paste into a different wiki page and replace the youtube URL with a different video:

  So videos are again not working. It seems each time the site is worked on this happens.

  Thanks for highlighting this, we are aware of this.
  
  The tech team is working on the image embed issue this week, following which I'll queue the youtube embeds as a fix.
  
  The approach I'm taking is that we're planning for whatever that was fixed to stay fixed, so there will be no rounding back to something that was fixed, then is broken again.
  
  I'll see if it's possible to schedule the youtube fix for next week or the week after.

  embedded videos seem to be working again - was this result a specific tech support action / intentional fix, or did it just mysteriously happen again?

  For me and my players it is very important - not just YT but Vimeo too. And still nothing happened.

  For 1 or 2 days was ok.
