Weird Bug

OK, while cleaning up and editing already established pges in my Shadows of New York Site (see link in signature below), a weird thing keeps happening. On every page, it wants to notify ONE player in my game that the page was updated. I have triple checked and he is listed simply as a player in the game. Fortunately, he doesn;t check his email much, as I just noticed this, though I know he's gonna give me heck when he gets 20+ emails saying pages were updated.
I've looked at the settings and there is no where to tell it not to send out these updates
So, right now I am clicking off his notification every time I edit or re-edit a page. It doesn;t even save and clicked off.

I've been noticing it too. I think it's actually different: I think it defaults on to people's profile settings:
    @Receive e-mail newsletters?
Receive notifications on ALL forum posts?
Receive notifications on ALL wiki edits?
Receive notifications on ALL character edits?@

If they have it on, then their name defaults as on.

    At least... That's my observation.

Yeah, I've had the same issue with a player receiving emails for all updates. Have them turn off notifications and that'll go away.

So yet another example of the email fix not being fixed, still.

    Just trying to help out.

    ...I'm not sure I agree.

This specific item isn't really a bug; the player's account simply has "receive all notifications" turned on. I just recently enabled this for my own campaign use, and now my username is selected whenever I edit/create a page (in the same way described by Keryth987 above). One of my players also apparently has this turned on, and now that I know what's causing it I can show her how to disable this so she stops getting flooded with emails.

Ok, so this feature is broken-
I had a player get all of them, another get 3 of 5.
One still is not getting any emails.

killervp that is definitely NOT a email fix issue. This has been a feature of Obsidian Portal for years and certainly helped my Throne of Thorns campaign get over 300 adventure logs.

    They are among us!

I have all my players set to "Receive notifications on ALL forum posts". I have mine set on "Receive notifications on ALL forum posts." AND "Receive notifications on ALL character edits." It seems to work fine for us, other than the fix I need to see (and I presume, send) my own posts. (Described in the "Email Fix":http://forums.obsidianportal.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=4057&page=2#Comment_34017 thread.)

Sorry killervp, I didn't realize you're having an issue separate from what Keryth987 described above. I think the problem he describes isn't a bug, but a misunderstanding of the site features.

Yours, however, sounds like an annoying friggin' bug. :-P

Yea, I can confirm that this is that feature in action for notifications. killervp's issue is something different.

Well, I have VISUALLY verified that the player receiving updates DOES NOT have that option checked.

Ok, now that is interesting. Can you ping me the username in question?
