Membership Question

Checking to see if anyone has the answer to a membership question. I may have missed the answer elsewhere but my search-fu is weak. So I have an Ascendant membership, if I let that lapse for a couple, or even a few months, and the reactivate Ascendant do I lose any data like secret messages to players, or is it just not accessible while the Ascendant level is lapsed?

Honestly, I think FB and creating a group is better than the membership. I still have yet to realize the value of an Ascendant membership with so many free and better options available. I love Obsidian and what they've done, but the membership is not for me personally.

For me the Site Forums is the main benefit. I am sure the increased space, unlimited maps, etc. also makes a big difference as I don't have to worry about running out. However, it is definitely the FORUMS that do it for me, although I do feel that the annual rate is very acceptable for such an amazing tool.

I'm with you overall twigs, though my main draw is the way it handles information in various areas (e.g. Player Secrets) and the ability to fiddle with the CSS is also a huge draw.

Mine is space, space, space. Then CSS. Player secrets are heavily used. Comparing past pages. Wow, for me, everything but the forums.....

I forgot PLAYER SECRETS was Ascendant Only. I use that alot. And yes, space, the final frontier, is always good.

Oh yea, and they are very clutch in my opinion. Probably one of the biggest ways I got my players using the sight off the bat.

Yep, my players are now beginning to discover the benefits of Player Secrets too. We really haven't used the Player Forums at all, and probably won't unless they buy into using OP a lot more than they have so far.

CSS, version control, email notification of changes, with player secrets finally getting some steam behind it. I don't really store my images locally (photobucket) so space is not a big deal for me, nor are the forums, but I can see how they definitely benefit others.

player forum is taking off really well for me - i have a 'session feed back' where players can talk about what went wrong in the game and it lets even the more introvert members of the party have a say without needing to risk face to face confrontation with the evil GM (thats me btw ;) )

the player secret sections are almost getting out of hand as well, I'm pleased to say.

I found the player participation in the web site(s) has increased enormously now that i have significantly increased the in-game rewards for web site contributions.

I think i am almost becoming too dependent on the portal now - when its down for whatever reason on game night, i feel the whole game is less enjoyable and runs far less smoothly

I could not even run mine if it was down, as it is all here now.... perish the thought....

I'm in the same boat killervp, if OP were to vanish I'd be scrambling. The CSS access as well as the player/GM secrets, and the increased image space, are the main sellers for me. The map feature would be great if they'd refine it a bit to make it actually useful, I'd use it constantly if it worked.
