Dungeon Scenery

I really enjoy making scenes come alive with nearly dioramas to go with our carefully painted minis.

I was intrigued by a new kickstarter: "Twisted Catacombs":https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1207385459/twisting-catacombs-miniature-dungeon-scenery

Looks like a great accessory to go with my dwarven forge. Does anybody have any other great resources like these?

I use these "terraclips":http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11438 for my dungeon based sessions.

And for city based sessions I use "these":http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/media/promos/Terraclips/Buildings_of_Malifaux/tcstb_1_1024.jpg and "these":http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/index.php?view=product&product=163 terraclips.

Works nicely, but takes a bit of practice to setup quickly.

In the past, I've used "Maptool":http://www.rptools.net/index.php?page=maptool for a digital table.

This is what we are starting to use, we picked up a few of the molds at Gencon. SO far they have turned out really great.

Before that the dungeons were being drawn out on a Chessex Battlemat. I use the square side while the characters are on the normal plane and switch it to the hex side when they are in the plane of shadow to throw off their tactics a bit.

Personally I use the papercraft modeling from "Fat Dragon Games":http://www.fatdragongames.com/fdgfiles/ as it's cheap and easy to make, and if I need more of something I can just print up more!

    Thanks for the shout, Bortas

The scenery looks great but, personally, for our campaigns, it is too much. We used to play at a friend's house, using maps converted to pdf on an upturned flatscreen, but we have had to move to a public bar (downstairs quiet bit) so we just use vinyl mat and pens. I have a few items (.e.g bendy walls, doors, a couple of statues and boxes) but we have to set up and break up quickly and I also don't want to be carrying too much to and fro).

For those who have the luxury of a semi-permanent base, I would highly recommend what I see.....

We play almost exclusively at my place, so I don't have to worry about transport, aside from my basement upstairs to dinning room. Sometimes, I forget how good I have it!
