Defiled_Cross
Hello, fellow friends and gamers.
While I am definitely new to the magic that is Obsidian Portal, I have been sporadically playing RPG's for the past thirteen years. The majority of the aforementioned has been focused on Dungeons and Dragons 3.5.
That being said, I figured this as good a time as any to plug my ongoing campaign, "The Road to Devastation". Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with how to properly go about doing so. So there you go. Join at your own risk! Oooooohhhhh...
:)

Always willing to say HI to a GM of Oerth. I had a large section based under Greyhawk in my SHIMRING campaign.
I like your comments about awarding roleplaying subtly in-game. Always a good thing.
I see you have had quite a few sessions already. You may want to add some colour (i.e. pictures, etc) to the campaign as a whole and elaborate a wee bit more on the story but I think you are doing the right thing by keeping your session notes short. Too many people write too much on these things (myself included) but, as long as your players are happy, that is the main thing.
All in all a good wee platform to build on.

I used to play the old rewards-after-a-fight style. But since my campaign is so fast, I like to just keep the game rolling and award people in various ad hoc ways. I have "chapters" in my story so to speak. At the end of each chapter, they gain a level. Good roleplaying has been rewarded in discreetly decreased DCs on checks, decreased cost of goods, etc. Now, my players keep track of their experience point totals not as an indicator to the next time they level, but as an indicator of story line progression. It's been very successful so far, and I highly recommend it.
