Hello everyone. Just discovered this site. Looking over a few of the campaigns and I must say, some of you are really talented.

So, just how useful does everyone find the tools offered here?

    Welcome Counselor Troi- great name!
I literally could not run my game as well without OP, as we game on Skype and roll20! The site is a must! Being able to share the world, and have the players contribute to it, would not work as well without the Portal! Enjoy! Feel free to ask questions- lots of friendly people here!

I can only echo what killervp and twiggyleaf have said - I run an entirely online RPG and though the meat of my sessions is handled via Roll20 and Skype, the easy reference capabilities of OP make it the most useful tool by far.

I play pure table top but having access to the computer (and therefore Obsidian Portal) during play is invaluable. I must admit, I also print stuff off, but these are generally little Excel tables that I make to help summarise combats - for main textual stuff I use OP. It is also brilliant for communicating information to the players during the week between games. And if you go "Ascendant" the FORUMS (private game forums - not this forum!) are really good for getting people involved.

    Welcome to the madness.

I find OP incredibly useful. What used to necessitate hours of e-mail and/or a 45 min recap each week is now gone, as I use OP for my session synopsis.

Also let me set everything up and put it at the fingertips of my players before the campaign began.
