Image used on each page has disappeared

I have been using a little page divider graphic (purely asthetic) on most of my wiki pages. I uploaded it to the site (simple image uploaded) and it's been there for some time. For some reason today, all of the sudden, it disappeared. A quick investigation shows that it is still there - but that its asset number has changed. This is extrmely frustrating, I've been using it for a long time, and recently have not uploaded any images (which, I imagine, could possibly cause a change in database records, hence changing it's asset number).

What options do I have? Go through literally thousands of pages and change the graphic? Go through literally thousands of pages and delete the graphic? Leave the wierd title on each page? Is there a way to edit asset numbers to replace it with the old one?

    I think you're stuck going back to edit pages sadly. I don't know why the asset number would change, I've never had that happen before - But I did have to go back and edit a million pages a while ago because they changed the way apostrophes work once - so I feel your pain.

    Oh man that hurts! I am afraid to use images now - what if it happens again - on some other image! Figures it had to happen to one I use regularly....

    Submit a bug with the current assetid and the old and request a tweak?

    I also have never had an asset # change- I highly suggest you go with Wolfhound's answer.

    thanks for the replies - I have replaced about half of the ids so far, so I think I will file a bug report, but keep up the replacement, and watch to see if it happens again...
