Link to an anchor on another page

Hi all,

I am trying to link to an anchor on another page but so far it's not working. The link to the anchor tries to work and jumps down to the correct location but then immediately jumps back to the top of the page as if something in the coding is forcing it. I've tried a variety of different codes including the name and the "name": html .... So far it seems to work best if i use the link without the / at the end, which is where I get the jump. All the other methods just bring me to the top of the page.

Is there something I'm doing wrong with this. Please help because it would be great if this could work. I've looked around the forums and have seen some posts asking about this but I haven't seen any solutions.

Thanks for any help you can give me
Kathea

I'm having the exact same problem, I've tried the code from the Unofficial FAQ, then replaced name with id when that didn't work and tried some other stuff, but I'm getting nowhere. Ironically, the link in the FAQs doesn't work properly either and gets you to the top of the page instead of the anchor: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/sanction/wikis/tips-tricks#5

I'm having this issue as well. When I click the link, the URL updates accordingly (e.g. "http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/kavan/wikis/ages" updates to "http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/kavan/wikis/ages#rebirth") but the page doesn't move a pixel.

I've tried using both H4 tags and P tags with id attributes to mark the anchor, but neither works. I'm currently trying to create a makeshift table of contents for my wiki pages, as one doesn't automatically generate.
