New here, need campaign help

Greetings;
I've recently purchased the original Planescape 'campaign setting' boxed set but it does not provide a specific campaign to initiate. My intention is to be a DM for a few friends to campaign in this multiverse but this setting is new to us (though I have experience as a DM in 'Forgotten Realms' settings and with playing the CRPG PS-Torment).
What I'm looking for is a few campaigns to get our feet wet. I could wing it, but prefer to start with a solid campaign.
Either I'm too stunned to find some at this esteemed site or I'm not looking in the right place.
'Harbinger House' and 'Fires of Dis' etc are too high level for a starting party.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
note - I'm a hard-core 2nd edition rules advocate.
Thanks;
Sharguild

    Hi & welcome.
    I'm not running a planscape campaign, nor can I suggest one here as I've only glanced at a few; and I'm not too sure what you want to see. Not all good campaigns create good websites; some folk just make stubs and others seem to fall out-of-date rather quickly. Hopefully some planescape GM will arrive here and promote his/her site to you.

    Have you seen "this complete list of planescape publications":http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?293919-Planescape-Collector-s-Guide ?
    Also the "planewalker's forum":http://www.planewalker.com/ might be a good place to seek help as well as here.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Sharguild

    Welcome to Obsidian Portal. I think Ketherian's suggestion of looking on the Planewalker's Forum is the best really. I'm sure you will be able to find some ideas there.I got most of my recent information on Sigil from a variety of sources - DnD 4e Manual of the Planes, Expedition to the Demonweb Pits by Wolfgang Baur and Gwendolyn FM Kestrel and from cruising around through the forums mentioned above. If you put out your questions on that Forum, you are likely to get an answer I would think.

    Thank-you both very much for your advice. I have made great strides following your leads.
    I've also found campaigns of suitable level available for purchase on Ebay. Though I will only purchase a couple to get the feel, I'm confident they will help me establish a sound mechanism for developing my own.
    Perhaps over the holidays coming, I'll have chance to write some very intriguing ones worth sharing, if there is a forum for such.
    As to my separate dice requirement query. I get the impression PS requires nothing special (I thought maybe Planars had something different required).
    Thanks again.

    I actually had the exact same issue, never been one for the Multiverse but I loved the gorgeous 'package' so purchased it, hoping to get inspired and run a game but there's no real guideline for exactly what a Planescape game is... However, it was a very well supported game with published Adventures, I suggest get onto ebay or the second hand market.

    Or... Look to your favorite movies, books and T.V. series and think about how you could adapt a game.
