Gen Con is just a month away. I will be going and would love to meet anyone who uses OP while I am there. If you are going post something here. I know Jerry and friends will be there Representing OP. Who else is going?

Alas, such things are not within the scope of my remote Glaswegian existence, but I wish you all the best and KNOW that it will be (how do you guys say...?) AWESOME!!!

Artemis is a game independently written by a single guy. Its designed to be run on a local network of windows computers, with each computer serving as a station on a starship bridge. You need 2-6 six players. There are five stations plus a captain but, the bare minimum is a weapons station and the helm. The creator is very supportive of modders and there is a group on the Artemis forums who have done a Star Trek mod that looks pretty good. The Artemis events at GenCon claim they will have (two?) immersive bridges set up. The videos I've seen from other events show large touch screen computers for each station. My friends and I checked it out last year and it was a blast, we bought a license and have enjoyed the heck out of it.

I have arrived at Gencon and am gearing up for four days of non-stop gaming action. Hope to see the OP team and everyone else who uses OP that made it here.

    SW.

Go by the Tri Tac Games Company booth and speak with John Reiher. He is the GM for our twice a month Skype Fringeworthy campaign. The maps, calender, Wiki, and the Adventure log keep us straight.

    We use OP considerably.

Played a game of savage worlds bureau 13 with John today and had dinner with Bruce last night. Tonight I got a bit drunk with Bruce and Travis at the Marriott JW. Have been a fan of tri tac since the early eighties. Saturday night I will be with Otto Blix playing the savage saturday night using fringeworthy for the campaign setting and running a podcast too. Awesome times.
