I am a man of small stature and grand Ideas unfortunately I'm definitely going to need to get some help. so with out further ado Here's the scoop I just recently picked up PHB races Dragonborn and found many Arkhosia related Quests so naturally I wished to play in or DM a Arkhosia Campaign, Finding out there was no such beast published I went about on creating it my self though I'm finding it hard to find Back ground info on the cities of the legiondary land. So I would love a little help in brainstorming the land scape I have a map so far and would like to add to it.

I strongly beleave The ruins of Arkhosia should have an Arabic feel.
All Right So I'd love to get a list of the 3.5 draconic gods.
Also I need some draconic items and gifts for my PCs
If Some people can send me some links on information on the seven cities of Arkhosia.

    3.5 Books:
Races of the Dragon : Dragon Items and dragon race only classes and feats.
Dragonomicon: All the Dragon deities for 3.5 + more items, classes and feats.

    Websites:
    "Basic Information":http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/Arkhosia
    "Tales of Arkhosia":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/tales-of-arkhosia

I only play 3.5 and Pathfinder and....heavily dislike.... 4th edition so I am no help for monsters. 3.5 has the Libris Mortis book if you are any good at converting.

    Hope that helps.

Also Sandstorm and some of the Forgotten Realms settings are desert-based (The Serpent Kingdoms, if memory serves) . You may be able to spurn some brilliance from those sources as well.

Are you willing to go off 3.5 canon into other books? Palladium Books "Northern Hinterlands":https://palladium-store.com/1001/product/467-PFRPG-Book-13-Northern-Hinterlands.html has some of the best illustrations of extreme cold I have ever read.

Cold, you say? You may want to check out Frostburn for cold rules as well.

As for illustrating them: When I started running "Heurdenvaar":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/heurdenvaar/wikis/home-page, I had cold wind sound effects, a "weather generator":http://donjon.bin.sh/d20/weather/, bluish lighting, keeping it colder in the gaming room, anything to sell the effect. Making your players slightly uncomfortable can really pull some good roleplay. Of course, you shouldn't use some of these devices throughout the entire session -- just long enough to set the stage each time you play. Also a well-written snippet of text can do WONDERS.

_"As the chill finally creeps into your bones, you lift your head from the ground. Your irises expand to meet the needs of your surroundings, and the cave you find yourself in is barren and dry. Your fingers, cheeks, ears, and toes burn with numbness you know to be frostbite. When you try to get to your feet, your hand gives way as you slide the skull you were laying on across the icy floor. This is no place for you to be. This is no place for you…"_

Depending on how far north they are, you also may want to keep in mind how the sun hits the planet you've created. If it's similar to earth, daylight will be longer some seasons and night longer the other seasons. If they're coming from regions where daylight is pretty regular, this may inflict penalties for them not being able to get a good night's rest. Elevation can have a serious effect on temperature as well, particularly how quickly they become fatigued due to oxygen deprivation (if you're in to micromanaging that sort of thing).

Nah, they're 3.5e. Well, the site with the weather generator has some 4.0 random generators as well, so bookmarking that might come in handy. With creative rulebending you should be able to turn the concepts in frostburn to 4.0.

You must be building up your pantheon pretty elaborately by now and will soon be thinking of what sort of creatures are going to be serving all these gods.

As a guide to filling in further detail I present "Sample Dragons":http://d20npcs.wikia.com/wiki/Sample_Dragons

(As you will see, this is an evergrowing list of sample dragons of all types. Saves a lot of time if there is a type you are looking for that is already annotated. You can also help to expand this wiki by submitting any complete dragons you have in unfilled slot categories.)

    Happy Hunting (or Slaying)

Okay so back again I'm up to Arkhosia city and well I had a cool Idea to throw some horrific mystery solving into the mix.
I Have my main villain and his layer all planed out but I need help with some of the clues. I've got jurnals finger prints, lab reports, a body and strange alchemical fluid is there any thing else I need?

    Great link Twiggy -

@ Athear - If you want a bit more customization replace some of the feats with some of the meta-breath weapon feats from the Draconomicon. Fed Ex office sells a Parchment type of resume paper. If you do up a page using Old English or similar font - it makes for a great game aid (you can also use candle wax to seal/stamp or fake blood to gussy it up further).

Don't bother buying "parchment" paper for game aids -- just make up some really strong tea or coffee (I find it easier to get the required strength with coffee) and soak a sheet of regular paper in it for 30 sec-2 min, then hang it up to dry. For wrinkled paper, crumple it up and roughly smooth it out before it goes into the coffee/tea. For splashes/drips/stains, add more coffee/tea to the spots when it's dry or almost dry. Waaaay cheaper than special paper and you can control exactly how grungy it looks. (I usually hand write on the finished product with a chisel-tip marker, but if you're going to print it, I'd do the printing before you soak it.)

Well for those of us who share constraints on time, I don't believe the 45 cents per sheet cost is a prohibitive cost but to each their own.
