I know many of you are proud of your OP sites, and of the heart of it --- your Adventure Logs!

I truly feel my writing has improved because of OP. I can tell a huge difference between my first postings compared to my latest.

Here is my favorite Adventure Log I have written.

"The Tournament of Ailemer":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/legends-of-the-middle-ages/adventure-log/the-tournament

If you have chance, please check it out... But more importantly, please post your favorite of your own adventure log post!!! Or even of someone else's campaign!

I do not write the logs for my campaign- I am lucky that my players do. Here is my favorite log of my players. "The Waking Nightmare":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/adventure-log/the-waking-nightmare
On yours, 2 points- I love the line "We will talk about that sword later” and congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

My favorite so far is the "silent movie":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/cthulhusupremusest/adventure-log/in-search-of-xnaaki that I created for my Call of Cthulhu "campaign":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/cthulhusupremusest. I'm happiest with how much action it conveys without actually having to resort to pages and pages of text. Plus, it fits in nicely with the era the game is set in.

My campaign is young so there haven't been too many adventure logs...and as we are doing most of our RP online through the forums I'm coming to the conclusion that I don't need the adventure logs so I will probably stop using them. Here is a selection from the forums that contains a scene I am pretty proud of:

KillerVP -- Thank you very much for the congratulations! Amanda is a wonderful girl whom I love with all my heart!! And, she plays a great mage! Did you update the look to your site, A God Rebuilt? It looks even better than I remember from before!!! I love it! Keep up the great work! You have fantastic writers for players!
Thank you for reading my page. :)

Leonidas300 -- I really enjoyed reading the two logs that you put up! I especially enjoyed the pictures of the figures, I assume those are the ones you used during game play.

FrankSirmarco -- That video was very well done!!! I really enjoyed watching it!

Dlaporte -- Very nice forum! It's nice to see a play by play of the game!

I noticed many of you have background images behind everything, not just the text but the very very back.... How are you guys doing that?
Looking forward to reading more great adventure logs!!!

In our game ( "Dresden Files Dallas":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd ) we have a single general post after each session that I put up as the GM, and additional "webisodes" which give insight from the player character point of view.

As GM, my various postgames are intended to dump a lot of information quickly so the PCs have help remembering what happened so they can craft their own. I also get to play from time to time (I have a co-GM), so I also have the chance to post webisodes as my character.

As my character, this is my favorite. "Conor goes busking in Deep Ellum":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/conorpostgame01

This is my favorite that one of my player's wrote. "Matthew prepares to battle a demon":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/matthew-postgame-01 (it follows the character's introduction to the campaign and represents the first time this faith-based character really learns to call upon his various supernatural powers)

Such a good thread, Anthony! I enjoyed reading all of the entries. A couple I had even read before so it was nice to see something familiar. If I had to award a prize it would have to be to FrankSimarco for his "Silent Movie" Awesome!

My own favourite log was from a time when one of our characters was turned into an owl that couldn't speak. I wrote it from the perspective of a non-speaking owl but it also covered quite an eventful section of the campaign. "Through the eye of the Beholder":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/shimring/adventure-log/through-the-eye-of-the-beholder-an-owls-perspective also contains my favourite ever beholder image. Sad to say, I do not know the artist, but he or she deserves something great in life!

Wolfhound --- both of those adventure logs were excellent!! I really enjoyed Conner's at the BBQ joint and found myself really wanting to know what happened next! Your site looks excellent as well!

Twiggy -- that must have been one crazy adventure! Was the PC angry about being an owl for an adventure?? LOL! I also liked the beholder picture! Great work!!

In my campaign, "Valdorian Age – Rising Power on the Frontier":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier I get the players to write up Adventure Logs. I like this because it gives me a chance to see what they found interesting. I also award a few extra experience points for doing a good job.

Here are few that my wife wrote "Wickshine's Inn":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier/posts?page=2, "Getting to know Elweir":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier/adventure-log/getting-to-know-elweir, and "Hijacking of the Hijacked Shipment":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier/adventure-log/the-hijacking-of-the-hijacked-shipment

Here is one from the other adult player, "Dear Diary: The Revels":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier/adventure-log/dear-diary-the-revels

This isn't so much a single favorite adventure log, but rather, there there are two sets of adventure logs that have kept me coming back over the years. Now I'm sure there are many other amazing logs out there, two of my favorite continuing adventure logs of all times are those of : FrankSirmarco's "Cthullhu Supremus Est":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/cthulhusupremusest/adventure-log, and of Dyluth's "Star Wars: Dawn of Darkness":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/star-wars-dawn-of-darkness/adventure-log. Many of you may already be familiar with Frank's amazing site (as it's one of the most popular sites on the Portal), but I think that Dyluth's site is perhaps one of the finest "overlooked" sites on the portal. What I would give to have been in either of these campaigns!

    Cheers,

AnthonyDluzak - you are too kind. If you're curious about his further adventures, I recently added 4 more of Conor's "postgames" to the site, you can find them linked off "his page":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/conor - or for context, they're linked off each "episode":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/episodes I enjoy writing them, as they help me get my "voice" (to use the words of one of my players) for the character. I'm particularly happy with the way "Digging Ditches":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/conor-webisode-7 and "Chocolate":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/dfd/wikis/conor-webisode-10 came out.

Adventure Log writing was at first only done to get extra legend points in game, however as I continued to write them I started to really enjoy putting across my version of events, which are not necessarily factual but make my character look better in certain situations. This was to try and inspire the rest of the group to add there one entries to the log, some times it worked, but not often enough for my liking. Now I have written my 12th log, which is my best so far (if I do say so myself) as I have included some history, rather than just tell the facts of the session. Although the writing does take 2 or 3 hours including proof reading and design, I look forward to posted them. The only thing I'm missing is a bigger audience.

2 of the 6 players who play, basically only come to the sessions, don't have anything to do with the portal or our Facebook group. The other 4 are intermittently active, but sufficiently so and the GM is always about. But its usually only the GM I get comments from for the log.

    Comments welcome.

Well done, Gron. A good account of the finding, saving and reconstruction of the House of Saleos.

As for the players that don't contribute, don't worry too much. After about three years on OP, I have come to accept that some do and some don't. (In my experience, MOST don't) As long as you have fun writing up your own logs, and especially as long as everyone has a good time at the table, then you should treasure those happy moments.

I don't usually write logs, but I've been lucky enough to have players that do since long before I started using OP. Now that I have created the "Planejammer Campaign Setting":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/planejammer-setting/wikis/journals-and-chronicles there is finally a central page to access them all.

Katya and Kenari are written by the same person, other than that they are all different players and all make me incredibly proud!

**This is what happens when GM's swap.**

After a week of leading up to Session 14 the then current GM "FourthLion":http://www.obsidianportal.com/profile/FourthLion posted on our FaceBook group, that in the next session big changes where a foot and that from the next session things would be out of his hands. This created a questioning atmosphere in the group, even the quiet ones where intrigued.

Then in the next session after about an hour, "Ray - FourthLion":http://www.obsidianportal.com/profile/FourthLion, stands up and pretended to start packing up as everyone else looks around bemused, until I sit down and continue the story.

The result of that session is a 10,000+ word log, "Ray - FourthLion":http://www.obsidianportal.com/profile/FourthLion promissed to keep it to three pages next time rather than the current 16... **Gulp!!!**

Anyhow if you fancy a long decent read pop over and have a perusal - "Session 14: The Circle Path":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/the-circle-of-light/wikis/session-14-the-circle-path
