I am currently running a game in a system that I have played for over 25 years- it helps with the rules lawyers, because few know it better than myself.

Alright, that was bad phrasing on my part. It was only meant to convey that, ultimately, the DM has the final say so.

We had our Irish themed game last week (only in food during the game, not the actual game itself) and I told everyone that I would give double experience points for whomever brought Irish themed goodies.

One of my friends brought a bottle of Irish whiskey called Bushmills.... Man, was it good stuff!!!!

I made Irish Stew with the meat simmered in Guiness beer overnight, mashed potatoes and Irish soda bread. It was a great game!

Next game session, we hit our two year anniversary. Gotta plan something big.

Yum.... I had a 6 pack of Guinness (and shame on you Anthony for not spelling it correctly) and wore all green tonight- however the group ran into no Leprechauns, so not a true St. Patrick's night of gaming....
Congrats on your 2 years of a fine campaign Anthony- we celebrated our 1 year. For those that have not, please check out the wonderful "Legends of the Middle Ages":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/legends-of-the-middle-ages
And no, I have no idea what all this has to do with destructive players... I just responded to the post above.

I submit that a 6 pack of Guinness and a bottle of Bushmills leads to a lot of destructive behavior. @killervp..."...I got the pajamas!"

You are right Killer! I am ashamed I misspelled the word Guinness!

Thank you for the congratulations, the kind words about my OP site and the plug :)

LOL, there definitely was some destructive behavior that session! The entire game was role playing, barely any dice were rolled... At the end of the game, my friend Brandon said, "hey wait, wait wait wait.... I wanna go back to that bar and pick a fight."

    I said, "what? why?"

"Because, I didn't get to hit anything this game! I wanna roll some dice!"

LOL, so yes.... The beer and whiskey may have contributed to this!

I cant recall a game in recent years that we didnt down at least one fifth of whiskey and another of Rum. Alcohol has killed many of our games but not due to destruction, more often than not someone passes out drunk and falls off his chair. lol
Its only really bad when the GM gets blutered. Luckily I am running the show right now because I drink only moderately.

It would depend on how this character is being detrimental and also what sort of campaign archetype you are playing.

In any campaign I've run, any player who's character "harms" the party turns into an antagonist.

Works great in a story based campaign, not so much in an open world cause then it might turn into nothing but pvp.
