HI,
Been playing and DMing since basic DnD. I've played all the editions with the exception of 3.5. Played a bunch of other RPGs but keep coming back to DnD. I'm running a solo campaign with a friend who is also my DM in his own campaign. We are currently using 4E. I've been looking for a creative outlet and creating my own campaign world was always a favorite. We decided to try OP after using Google Wave as an online RP resource. We are using the Forums section for back and forth role play and doing combat on the Virtual Table on the Wizards of the Coast site. Since I am running my friend through a side campaign, and we live a 100 miles apart, we don't get together for live role play. Would love pointers and feedback on my story as it develops. I call my campaign Violent skies. Feel free to take a look and watch it grow. Thanks!
Dave

I appreciate your interest. We are still in the "experimentation" stage with the campaign. This is largely a creative exercise for me. We are also using the OP a little differently than intended by the designers (I think) in that we are using the site for our role playing. When it comes time for combat, we have been using the virtual table on WOTC. I thought this might work for a solo player in a sort of "play by post" format, but I suspect it might not work as well for multiple players. In any case, I hadn't given any thought to the idea of inviting anyone else. At this point I'm sticking with the Solo idea, but...let me run it by my friend and see what he thinks. If he's open to it I'll let you know.

I am sure you will find OP to be useful in whichever way you use it. I use mine mainly as a resource for my own tabletop campaign and it is invaluable. I will also add that I have recently started playing in a PBP game and that works pretty well too. Yours is probably a good idea to augment this with other online tools for maps, etc. but if you are an Ascendant Member, you get use of your own forums - they seem to work perfectly for the game I am playing (even with multiple players across continents).

I'm beginning to see that there are a lot of PBP games here on OP. I am an Ascendant member (great title btw) and we've been using the forums. So far so good.
