Whoever created the textile markup really didn't have RPGs in mind what with all of the "+" signs for stats and stuff that get used in games. T.T Had a headdesk moment when my table of stuff had all these unexpected underlines. >.

Agreed! Not being able to use two + symbols on the same line is just ugly.

Also, I'm spending way too much time trying to get formatting right using textile, when you could do it in a few seconds with html. For example, indenting first lines for paragraphs in stories. p{text-indent:20px}. only works for the first paragraph, and a simple html

Actually, that and all other inline CSS works fine. If like me you're more comfortable with good old fashioned HTML than with Textile, you'll find that most common HTML tags are at your disposal.

As a note though, be careful when copying from the forums, because it likes to break code. For example, it's converted the regular quotes in what you've got there into 'smart' quotes, much like Microsoft Word does, which will cause it to fail unless you change them back.

so there is no way to ignore the + code that makes everything following it an underline? Isn't there a way to "comment out" the code?

    Hi Rogue

This issue has also been discussed under another thread. See "Huh?! Plus signs underline things now?":http://forums.obsidianportal.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=1577&page=1#Item_35

I think the most common workaround seems to be leaving a space before the plus, but have a look through the thread linked and see how you go...
