Linking to the "pre built" wiki pages?

Hey all, silly question here...

Having trouble linking to the pre-built pages (Characters, Items, etc). The only way I found to do it is using an absolute path (copying the URL and using insert URL)? Trying to use the Wiki Pages icon fails as those pages aren't listed to link to?

Thanks for the assist!

The link to characters icon is right next to the wiki pages icon, or if you know the slug, remember to include a ":" (e.g. [[:character name]] or [[:item name]]) This is different from regular wiki links which don't have a colon in their slugs.

    Thanks gnunn,

What I meant is that I want to link to the entire characters page, not a specific character.

    If you go here:

    http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/noble-house/wikis/main-page

I want that "characters" text to link to the entire characters page.

    ?

    Thanks so much!

Ah... gotcha. Unfortunately, I think you have to go with straight HTML to link to the character and item landing pages.

Ok, thanks again gnunn. That's what I'd done before, but it was creating a different colored link and I was trying to be consistent. :-D

    I'll live with that!

    Thanks again!

You can work a color fix (sort of) if you add the following code to the link

    "%{color:blue}Link text here%":http://linkurlhere.com

This will change the text of the link to the internal link blue, but unfortunately the underline remains the external link light blue for some reason.

if you add the HTML tag around the link text (not url) it'll add an underlining covering the old one, and changing the color to the appropriate blue.

PS sorry for the late reply

Lately I've really like having my links not have the underline to them and you could do that by doing "{text-decoration:none}Link text here":http://linkurlhere.com

If you want to use the color change that gnunn described with this then you would do "{color:blue;text-decoration:none}Link text here":htpp://linkurlhere.com

Like magavendom, I like not having the underline... In fact my whole site has them eliminated, and I use the color red for people, green for items, and blue for places or links. The code line I use each time is this ==name== where I only need to change the link and name, and sometimes the color.
