    Ok, I'm trying to work up a character description block that looks nice. I've got some things figured out, but I'm still having some difficulties.

    Here is an example for what I have currently:
    http://www.obsidianportal.com/game_contents/show/vek

    And here is the code I used:

    *Dexterity: 3D+1*
    * _Blaster_ 4D+1
    * _Brawling Parry_ 4D
    * _Melee Combat_ 5D

    *Knowledge 1D*
    * _Intimidation_ 3D
    * _Law Enforcement_ 3D
    * _Streetwise_ 3D

    *Mechanical 2D*
    * _Beast Riding_ 3D
    * _Ground Vehicle Operation_ 2D+1
    * _Repulsorlift Operation_ 3D

    *Perception 2D*
    * _Bargain_ 2D+2
    * _Search_ 3D+1

    *Strength 2D+2*
    * _Brawling_ 3D+1
    * _Climbing/Jumping_ 3D
    * _Stamina_ 3D

    *Technical 2D*
    * _Security_ 3D

    *Weapons*
    * Blaster Pistol (4D)
    * Stun Baton (STR+2D+2)

    I would like to put spaces between the bolded lines and the portion above, so there's better separation, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. No matter what I do, I end up with one big chunk.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Try something like this:

    p{margin-top:10px;}. *Dexterity: 3D+1*
    * _Blaster_ 4D+1
    * _Brawling Parry_ 4D
    * _Melee Combat_ 5D

    That p with the margin-top should help space things up a bit. I might just edit the default stylesheet for characters to add more spacing to the text. This seems like a common problem for most people.

    Thanks.

    Actually what I did was

    p{margin-bottom:0px;}. *Dexterity: 3D+1*
    * _Blaster_ 4D+1
    * _Brawling Parry_ 4D
    * _Melee Combat_ 5D

    Because if I just set the top, then the list is automatically spaced further down because it things the heading is its own paragraph. By removing the spacing below, I can force it closer.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Hehe

    Well I'm slowly learning how this textile thing works. I'm much more comfortable with html or bbcode, but learning that a lot of textile is just manipulating CSS makes things a bit easier.

    Now I just need to refresh my memory of exactly how CSS works :P

    Is there a way to turn textile off for a paragraph or two? Normally, I'd use PRE or CODE, but those are HTML code... which is disallowed.

    And which version of Textile, exactly, is being used?
