Hello all once again. I just wanted to say that my Q-Workshop dice just arrived in the mail from Polska and that their dice, specifically the Dwarven set are just spectacular! I certainly can't wait to break them out in my next game session and see if any lucky roles came included in the package :)!

Have a lot of other members of the community here picked up dice sets from Q-Workshop? If not I would definitely recommend them.

    Good stuff, Dyluth.

I got mine as well the other day. Got myself a set of Steampunk styled dice.

pardon my printed monitor: "Steampunk Dice and Q-Workshop 6 siders":http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5041/5218341563_5fc9375c35_b.jpg

Didn't realize they were based all the way out in Poland-- but now I've got a story for my game group next time we meet up and I start rolling.

    edit: funky link.

Nice, but I still prefer the 3D molded shapeways dice -

I've just ordered a couple of "these":http://www.shapeways.com/model/169326/steampunk_hinges_d6_dice.html for my mad scientist Starblazer character :)
They've got a wonderful "50s retro scifi" look to them. I just need to paint them different colours for positive and negative.

I'll post a picture of the D20 I painted (when I find it again)

Holy crap, Curu, those are magnificent. I think the d20 looks a bit too difficult to read, but that might just be because of the photo.

Those dice are amazing, Curu! I actually just ordered two sets of steampunk dice from Q-Workshop, but alas, not for me, they are but destined to be gifted unto my Fiancee, as her first ever set of gaming dice. I am envious, but what the hey - She'll love them, I hope.

The nicest dice I have are "crystal shard dice":http://images.frpgames.com/products/product_7706.gif that I used in an old Star Wars d20 campaign a while back. Since I abandoned -all hope- d20 for the greener pastures of the old WEG d6 system, I have been pondering a search for sufficiently Star-Warsy d6's. I would be interested in hearing any suggestions on that front.

Dusk, those are smexy dice. I'll have to keep an eye out for Star-Warsy d6's...although if I had the time and resources... (Actually, I may be able to do this, but I don't know when: building forges is tricky)... I could custom cast d6's... For Star Wars, I'm thinking perhaps an X-wing fighter for 5, maybe The Millenium Falcon for 6, the Droid interceptor for 3, a Tie Fighter for 2, a Light Sabre or death star for 1, and for 4, I have no idea. I could do Light side/dark side dice!

Duskreign those are some amazing dice, and I agree WEG is an old favourite of mine too!! Rase, I had no idea you can actually forge your own dice, that's pretty impressive. I'd love to see the "classic" Star Wars dice set your describing if your able to find the time to put them together.

I've been wanting to assemble my own forge for a while, but I don't know if I can get away with it where I'm currently living. But once that's up, I just need to create a suitable set of blanks, then do some lost-wax casting, and I'll be able to create all manner of custom bits and bobs....

Okay, those first steel ones that Curu linked are my favorite dice now. I'm gonna have to start looking for some awesome new dice. My random collection of dice from dozens of different sets don't seem adequate anymore.

I had no idea that such fancy dice even existed! WOW! I'm going to have to go dungeon crawling so that I can scrounge up the money to by a nice set.

Painting the dice does make it easier to read the numbers - with the 3D printing however, the result is not smooth (being solidified powder), so you do need to do a bit of sanding with Spaceways objects.
