Map markers and anchored page segments

Is it possible to create anchored page segments that will appear as options for map markers on the map page? I'm pretty green when it comes to this coding stuff, so even if it's possible that doesn't meant I'm going to get it right away. First things first though, if it can be done then great.

My current campaign is more or less a test for us. It's a short-ish arc that will get us into a new system and a new online element in OP. The PCs all come from the same small town. I uploaded the map to this town and created a dedicated wiki page for every building of note in town so that I can place map markers on them. But I'd rather have all of these individual buildings detailed on the main entry for the town instead of giving them their own pages, which is the reason for my question.

Here's my wiki. Any advice would be great.

You can create anchors in a page using regular HTML, but the map tagging system is pretty limited, and I don't think there's a way to do custom links in there, unfortunately.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks anyhow.

You can do image maps, just not in the map section.

Personally I don't like the map section as it distorts my pics. I just use the wiki instead.

I recently created an image map for my Eberron Campaign home page. Just upload your image to photobucket or flickr or what have you and then google for online image map tool. There are several out there. You can reference your pic with the tool, create your hot links, then copy and paste the code onto your wiki. Presto!

You can check out my site as an example if you like. "Return of the Lich Queen":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/eberron-return-of-the-lich-queen

Wonderful work Grokkit! I do something similar for my "Planescape Campaign":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/planescape-campaign/wikis/sigil , to the tune of actually mapping out the Planes. Additionally, you can use them to hotlink within the same page (Instead of using a link redirect... I can help you work the code out if you'd like - I'm green too, but Green is Good :) ) using similar code that is exemplified on another page I threw together "here":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/planescape-campaign/wikis/status-effects
