Grouped characters

I remember seeing a campaign where the DM managed to split the characters to more group types than PCs and NPCs.

Does anyone have a simple script to do that? My campaign is starting to have too many characters and I want to be able to group them together.

Edit: Nevermind. I just now saw there is a built-in custom way to do this.
