Character Organization

Hey ho. New here. I'm finding what I really need is a way to organize characters. Like be able to organize them by module, active/inactive/dead, what not. As it is, if I create too many NPCs, they get jumbled up in a flat list.

I would like to see something like:



Player Characters (already there)

Global NPCs (alread there)

Archived Characters

Module A NPCs

Module B NPSs

...

 

and so on. Essentially in a folder structure like media.

While it's not in a folder structure, there is a way to categorize characters in a fashion similar to the way that you are describing if you are an Ascendant member.

Ascendant members get access to several features in the backend settings, one of which is to apply tag based code to the list of characters which allows you to categorize and arrange the characters.

NOTE: Admittedly the character page here appears to be a sort of confusing example since characters appear to be duplicates, in this case it's intentional since there's a bunch of time-looping in my campaign.

This is what the code in the Settings > Advanced > Custom Character Layout section looks like, to give you an idea of how easy this is to implement.
