Is it possible for someone to have racist views of Elven Thieves but not Elves that aren't Thieves?

I'd had a thought. Even though most GM's won't use Racism in their campaigns theirs no doubt it exists in the world their using, I have a question and in case your wondering the reason I specified Rlves and not a different race is because I made a split second decision to use Elves in the example

For example if Elven Thieves did something truly horrible to A Npcs Family would it be possible for The Npc in question to have racist views of Elven Thieves but not have racist views of Elves that aren't Thieves?
