The thing her mothers silence was bought about is the fact that even though she's A 14 year old Title Holding Noble whose title is Fairly Senior Baroness who rules A Fairly Large Barony who got the title the same second she was born but didn't and couldn't actually start ruling until she the day after her 12th birthday she is actually the illegitimate daughter of the the current kings deceased older brother, which means that illegitimate or not by rights, maybe not by law, she's the rightful queen
