What do you think of my idea for A Unique way to ensure Drinax survives?

1 hour ago I had A Idea for 2 campaigns that follow each other, the 2nd 1's Drinax and if they get the best ending in the 1st they guarantee Drinax survives, in A Unique Way, but if they don't try or fail in the worst way they guarantee Drinaxs destruction, again in A Unique Way

The 1st campaign has A new race for Traveller that if the characters succeed in The 1st campaign won't appear or even be mentioned or even make 1st contact with The Imperium in the 2nd campaign because if the 1st campaign ends in A Victory for The Pcs then The Pcs changed history in a way that means this new race don't need Human help, so they have no reason to appear

What they need help with in campaign 1 is preventing, the most shameful they ever did, which  caused the extinction of the last remnants of A Sentient Race and the 1st campaigns whole plot would be stealing A Ancient Device from The Floranni then using it to go back in time and stop them causing the extinction of the last remnants of A Sentient Race

The idea is that they'd succeed, then return to their time but no one, not even The Pcs, would ever know that the prevented 1 Sentient Race from causing the extinction of the last remnants of A Sentient Race

Or rather my players would think that  no one, not even The Pcs, would ever know that the prevented 1 Sentient Race from causing the extinction of the last remnants of A Sentient Race

But their wrong because A Side Effect of The Ancient Device they stole from The Floranni and used to travel into the past means that The Sentient Race they prevented the extinction of were exiled

They knew they'd been saved by Humans and they know were Humans are, so they decided to return the favor by using their exile to go to our known space and serve the humans that saved them

I will deliberately ensure that The Aslan Forces in The Battle are too strong for Drinax to stop but this new sentient race will arrive to save Drinax, literally with seconds to spare

This way depending on their actions in the 1st campaign The Pcs will either guarantee Drinax survives, in A Unique Way, but if they don't try or fail in the worst way they guarantee Drinaxs destruction, again in A Unique Way

Before I finish what do you think of the basic overall plot?, in the best case scenario The Pcs prevent the extinction of  the last remnants of A Sentient Race? but they did it in a way that as far as The Players know no one, not even their Pcs, remember it but in truth they've guaranteed that Drinax survives, in A Unique Way

On what happened in the original, hopefully, timeline, those 1,296 years ago most of the now extinct sentient race got involved in a plot to kill the royal family, only the kings 3 year old great grand-daughter survives, her races laws means they end up with A 3 year old for A Queen and in a toddlers tantrum she orders the complete extinction of that race

Skip forward 4 years and that race only has 1,019 members left, their all on 1 Ship(a race as smart as theirs was, hopefully now is, should have known that was a bad idea) and their being hunted by A Nelhanlia

A Nelhanlia is A 3,848,100 ton Battleship and is, now was, build at the very high end of TL 18, so its 100% unfair to send 1 after A 124,500 ton TL 11 very lightly armed and lightly armored transport that's carrying the last 1,019 members of A Sentient Race

The now 7 year old Queen lifts the order to exterminate that race, unfortunately the guy that was ordered to send the message canceling the order decides it can wait until after his 5 minute coffee break, after all to quote him "it will never even come close to doing any harm or at least any great harm", famous last words and all

Sadly famous last words is very accurate and very unfortunately it does harm beyond even considering even attempting to imagine, are you thinking how can a 5 minute coffee break possibly do any harm?, after all its only 5 minute coffee break won't do any harm, I bet you can guess but if you can't here's how

Its because that 9 minute delay, 5 minute coffee break, 2 minutes to the comm's room and 2 minutes for the ships radio operator to get the message to the ships captain, resulted in The Nelhanlia destroying The 100,000 ton TL 11 very lightly armed and lightly armored transport that's carrying the last 1,019 members of A Sentient Race

This means that that Sentient Race is now extinct, to be blunt, and in another tantrum the queen has the messenger, his entire family all of the messengers friends of his and all close relations all of the messengers very close friends tortured to death as slowly and painfully as possible, but at least she calms down enough to not punish the crew of the ship that did it

Or that's what happened in the original timeline, which means that the messengers 5 minute coffee break did do harm, to sort of borrow A Line from Fire Emblem 9 "we took The Angals, the races name, from existence"
