Using images in Carousel from sub-folders

I created a GM-Only folder in the Media Library, marked as GM-Only. How can I have the Carousel feature select images from that folder. It appears to only allow images from the root folder. Thanks.

I'd love to know the answer as well.

My work around was to move the images to the root folder, create the carousel, then move them to a GM only folder afterwards. They still work fine, you just can't start from that.
