    Help people of this site,

I'm a new user to this, and I don't understand any of it (well I actually do understand some of it).

Any help that is given pertaining to how to make my pages look nice, how to do stuff, and general info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site! When I first joined I browsed the campaigns to see what people were doing with their campaign sites. Here are three that I looked at for linking of topics and use of imagery: "The City of Fogdown":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/fogdown "The Weight of Rubies,":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/rubies "Beyond the Elder Peaks.":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/elder-peaks Once I saw what could be done, I looked at the tutorial stickies at the top of this forum "I need help! I can't figure this site out!":http://forums.obsidianportal.com/forums/1/topics/28 and " What is this site anyway?":http://forums.obsidianportal.com/forums/1/topics/6 With my campaign notes, a lot of images, and a few questions on the boards I made "my campaign wiki":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/nemedian-chronicles

So, my advice would be to use links for all your major PCs, NPCs, Places and Important Things in your Adventure Logs and Wiki. Also, images always help, especially with PC and NPC portraits plus they're great at breaking up long stretches of text. You could also use text variation (*bold*,_italics_) to call out any header or important information. Finally, experiment and play! There's a lot of possibilities with the code the campaign sites are built with, just don't turn on the WYSIWYG editor. ;-)

Flatscan, I have to giggle at your statement that you looked to Weight of Rubies for ideas on linking topics and use of imagery. I did a view code on _your_ page to figure out how to position images in my posts.

Which of us is the chicken and which is the egg?

@ bevinflannery: I had clicked on Weight of Rubies in the past and again just recently because of Micah's post on the campaign headers. I liked following the trail of links through your campaign site, especially the extensive list of NPCs with portraits, and use of rule lines to break up the page. And, images good!!! :-D
