Are characters sorted alphabetically by their name or their slug?

Is there any way to make groups in the character tab and sort them differently?

Can I edit the code of the character tab anywhere?

Characters are sorted alphabetically by name, not by slug. Use tags with your characters, and then use the character filters at the top. The system is designed for grouping in that fashion.

If you are talking about a full list of characters, and have them broken apart into groups, not really, aside from PC/NPC. But use the filters, that's what they are for!

If you really want custom sorting of your characters you need to create your own wiki page that acts as the character page. Then you can group then as desired.

The only work around that I've been able to do have been the use of invisible ascii characters in the character names.

For example, I use those characters to place dead characters at the bottom of the sorting list.
