I'm submitting my first ever monster design to a contest, and I'm not a "rules lawyer." Will you help me with the following areas of my submission;
1) Word count 500
2) Stats MUST be correct
3) Titles for abilities. New suggestions that sound better?
4) Is it over powered for CR 10?
5) Do the special abilities (which DO NOT apply after shape changing (afraid it would be over powered) ) make sense?
PREDATHON
This shapechanger is unlike any before it, because it’s unpredictability is it’s greatest weapon.
Confusion Spun by Chaos. The Predathon’s greatest asset is to transforms it’s appearance in the blink of eye causing fear and confusion in it’s opponents.
Intelligence Spun by Chaos. While opponents are confused the Predathon can strike deeper in the minds of it’s opponents with lies and deception that are very difficult to detect.
Defense Spun by Chaos. The every changing form of the Predathon creates an almost eerie like glow that spawns an ever increasing fear among opponents, which makes it very difficult to find any way to thwart it’s seemingly impenetrable defenses.

Shapechanging Chaos The Predathon’s greatest weapon is it’s ability to shapechange at will (free action) every round (if it’s chooses) into a creature up to one category larger of the same CR.
Due to it’s chaos nature, each round roll a d6 and choose; Algorith, Bone Swarm, Demon (Rubezahl), Devil (Automata), Fear Smith, or Golem (Salt). Once it transforms it gains all the new hit points, plus abilities, skills, class, race, languages, saves, and spells, if applicable and able. The Predathon does not regain any of it’s original abilities while shapechanging. If while in a new form it’s reduced to 0 hit points, then the creature is returned to it’s original form with any extra damage added to the original form’s hit point total. The Predathon can choose whether to hold, drop, or wear equipment while shapechanging. If wearing equipment then it will function as normal, and the GM can choose if it’s practical for the new form to wear or use the equipment held. When reverting back to normal form it reverts back to it’s previous hit points. The Predathon is still vulnerable to thunder damage regardless if the new shape has resistance or immunities.
Defensive Chaos
The predathon has advantage on the saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Seduction by Chaos
The predation has advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks.
Innate Spellcasting. The predathon’s innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save 16), +8 to to hit with spell attacks. It can cast the following spells without needing spell components.
Chaos Confusion
Constant: confusion (always centered on the predathon with 10’ radius), detect thoughts.
ACTIONS
Multiattack. The predathon can make 3 claw attacks. Melee weapon attack: +5 to hit, reach 5’, 1 creature. Hit 14 (2d12+1) slashing damage.
Chaos’s Embrace (Recharge 5-6 ability).
You can use a single action (requires recharge) from any creature the predathon can shapechange into.
