Embed youtube.

HI,

When I try to embed a youtube video, it does not work. I made sure the video is public. I have tried blank line above and below the line. I can see the video perfect when I am editing the page I am trying to embed on. Just not sure what to do here.

Are you using the textile or CKeditor?

Using the normal editor, here is the code I've used on several sites. (My Shadows site, the one in my signature, is slightly different due to mostly a desired look)

So Apparently it worked here but doesn't work on my page. So first, I believe that is with CKeditor. I am trying to find out how to oembed to hopefully fix the problem.

So the oembed is working now, takes a second, but works. Now how do I change the size?

AND, now it stopped. This is frustrating. Is there somewhere I can view and look this stuff up. I check redcloth site. It doesn't have anything for oembed or embedding videos, only images

Sorry for all the posts. I went into setting and switched back to textile editor & everything is working fine now

Personally, I only use the textile editor.  I find the CkEditor while nice for some things is lacking in other ways.

Try something like. The first is the set the size of the video iframe. The second to set the size of the oembed object.

.oembed iframe {

    width: 320px;

    height: 240px;

}

.oembed {

     height: 300px;

     padding-bottom: 0%;

 }

Kingcrowley, youtube embedding doesn't seem to work anymore.

However you can use embedding of videos stored in your media library.

I just do an image and link it to the video. No, it's not embedded, but at least I can link to the video on YouTube. Granted I've only done 1 video that I've used as a title video on OP, but it works.
