Shadowrun: Dawn of the Artifacts (Chicago Suburbs - Downers Grove)

Sixth World scholars have long hypothesized the cyclical nature of magic. For years corporations, collectors and other factions have spent fortunes hunting down surviving relics of this mythical age. The shadows whisper of lost lore and a secret history to the world. A privileged few have come into possession of ancient items of great power and mysterious purpose, artifacts from before recorded history. Now it’s your turn...

As the above blurb and title indicate, this campaign will focus primarily on the "Dawn of the Artifacts" campaign released by Catalyst a few years back. Yeah, I'm behind the times. What do you do?

Ideally this would serve as a springboard for a longer, homebrew campaign. Right now, I'm just trying to gather interested players. Time and location are semi-negotiable. I'm in Naperville, and have a pretty good game area in my house, but I'm open to other locations. Fair Game in Downers Grove, Emmett's Ale House is pretty supportive of the gaming crowd (for a public restaurant). I'm open to other suburbs as well, anything that's easily accessible from I-355. Downers Grove is nice because it's fairly easy to access from the city, if folks are up for a train ride.

If you're interested, drop me a line.

A link to find you would help, preferably your portal site.
I suggest you try "Looking For Players":http://forums.obsidianportal.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=1527&page=1 . This has links to a number of suggestions, including pen and paper games. I have found players for my game at pen and paper myself.

Thanks. I didn't realize they don't link the forums with the rest of the site. Seems a bit of an oversight, but hey, perfection is hard. Pretty good site overall.

If I had a car and could get a more reliable schedule, I'd be totally up for learning to play Shadowrun. I game at Lewis University right now, so I'm relatively close, down in Romeoville/Lockport area, but without a concrete time and place it would be hard for me to get access. Even then, I have a personal rule about meeting players before joining a game/group to get a feel for what I might be getting into.
