h2. Background
So I am thinking about creating a brand new campaign world using Obsidian Portal. I have been happy with my current "Valdorian Age":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/valdorian-age-rising-power-on-the-frontier . But I realized that I 'boxed' myself into a corner as a GM with the campaign world. I could go to the trouble of recreating the campaign (a lot of trouble considering the fact I can't just back up and restore the site onto a new site) or just create a new campaign world from scratch.
h2. The questions
What would people recommend as best practices when it comes to using Obsidian Portal. I have been looking at the various threads on the Help & Tips forum. These threads are great for the how to implement things but I am asking for the design approach people are taking or wish they took when they got going. So imagine if you could start from scratch how would you do it again.
h3. Features
So would you use Adventure Log, Wiki, Characters, Items, Forums, Calendar, Maps, and/or Comments? I have seen that some GMs are skipping Characters, Items, and Maps and putting that information in the Wiki. Do you have an opinion about that.
h3. Layout
Is there a consensus on who has the best layout these days?
