Montana, did you want to forum heading rows to have that translucent black background also? I've got most of it figured out color wise.
On the other hand, resizing the banner turns out to be a much bigger problem than I originally thought. I'll let you know if i figure something out for it
Also the method he's using to put the transparent black around the post puts it several other places on the page...did you want that to match through the whole site or did you only want the posts themselves to have that?
Does anyone know a way via CSS to prevent all my Adventure Log posts from collapsing?
We're not using them for logs but for placeholders for each characters' logs by session, so it looks proper when they're not collapsed. I tried putting at the very bottom of each log, but it had no effect (and we have 100s of logs anyway).
I know all the CSS fixes since the Reforge have been dumped here, but, there any way we can separate them out?
Personally, I don;t mind going back a bunch of pages and looking for a fix I remember seeing here (ok, it can be annoying but i deal), but for someone new to OP, or someone who rarely frequents these forums, comes here looking for help, the help they need is probably in this topic, but they won't even know to look here as the topic says CSS BETA.
Just a suggestion

SkidAce, looks like that is just the same as , so something like @hr {
color: #f00;
background: #f00;
height: 2px;
}@
Looks like the *current* settings for hr in the code are @hr{border:solid #ddd;border-width:1px 0 0;clear:both;margin:1.25em 0 1.1875em;height:0}@
in case you wanted to change anything in there.
@Keryth987 (or anyone else for that matter) - would something like this be useful? I've been collecting tidbits as I have time (was just putting them in a doc) and have now put them into a campaign (it's not all there, and it's not particularly well organized at the moment). It's VERY much a work in progress, but I'm absolutely willing to add people to the campaign who want to help organize, add, tag, etc. and let you guys have pretty much full run of it if it makes people's lives easier. I'm afraid - I've been TERRIBLE for sourcing all of the code however (if you join and something is creditable to you - by all means add credit!!).
Awesome idea, dawnhawk. If you want to add me, I'd be happy to help organize and collect the code -- I've been meaning to do something similar, anyway. (I'm in the middle of dead week, though, so I probably won't be able to do much until after finals next week.)
@Dawnhawk- OMG, that is AWESOME!!!
Thank you! Everyone, check out the work in progress, but awesome, "Post Reforge CSS":https://post-reforge-css.obsidianportal.com/

Though this may be on hold for a bit. We've hit a nice (/sarcasm) -30C to -40C two week cold snap...and I have joint issues (results of a "sordid" life of programming and sports...go figure). So until the brace is off my left wrist again - I'm going to be hard pressed to even keep up with work (though that's also on pause since management has decided we should do an office shuffle for no particular reason...including changing which desks are in which offices!). At least I have an excuse to make someone else to the heavy lifting.
@dawnhawk - Amazing work there. I was looking only to start breaking up the CSS discussions into individual topics (which should STILL be done guys), but you've gone one step further. Kudos to you!

Oh that I can agree with Keryth. Though then I always have the problem of forgetting which thread some little snippet was in too. So 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
In other news:
I have managed to find some of my CSS/HTML tutorials from when I was teaching at the University! I'm in the process of modifying/moving them in the Post-reforge. Modifying to make them more OP relevant. It's slow going, but hopefully it will help some better understand what they are mashing together when they copy and paste code!
@dawnhawk: Terrific idea! I _thought_ about doing something like that... but then didn't do anything at all. :P So I'm really glad you're actually getting it going! That's a great resource to have, that I'm definitely going to take advantage of.
(Also, just fyi, I've been going through some of the code-snippets I've added to the forums. On "this":https://post-reforge-css.obsidianportal.com/wikis/navsnippets page, you can take out the ".op-icon {display:none !important;}". All you need is the .icon entry I believe.)
Speaking of tutorials, Meagoinc made an _awesome_ sidebar for Tyellador, and I wrote up a tutorial on how we got it working correctly. So: "Custom Sidebar Tutorial.":https://tyellador.obsidianportal.com/wikis/custom-navigation-bar
This sidebar will adapt correctly if you're logged into your campaign or if you're a visitor, which is what the hard part of making this was.

Hehe I think I have your tutorials linked in a couple of places already Thorvaldr, and will likely end up linking them in a few more by the end (heck I've used more than a few of them in my own campaign). Will link the sidebar one as well.
Note on the icon, will check it on my test page and fix as needed.
Yeah, I just figured out the icon one while going through my code making the last tutorial. .op-icon specifies all of the icons _but_ calendar and front-page for some reason. :P But that's one of the good things about making the tutorials is it forces me to go back through my code and see what everything actually does, so I can make it all more efficient! Or, at least less kludge. :P
Code without kludge? What is this fantasy world you live in? I would like to visit...*goes back to fixing really bad legacy code of doom written by someone who seriously thought the statement "if (!(str!=true) then print str+" is true" " was a good choice.... Sigh!! * (really wish I made that up...)
Ahhh, I said code with _less_ kludge! :P And I love the double negative example! That is fantastic! I'm sure it made some sort of sense at the time it was written, and then rewritten, and then changed for a reason...
Thorvaldr - you are far more charitable to them than I am. lol From what I gather from the guys who knew this particular programmer (long before my time) - this actually was how they thought. Given that I have quite a code base to judge by - I'm inclined to agree. The first time they handed me one of these system they actually told me that fixing "{programmer's name} code" was my initiation.
By all means steal the example for anytime you need to amuse (or raise the eyebrows) of some geeky friends. We have it written on our white board in the office under the caption "lolbugs" along with a couple of others.
I'd like to echo Onsilius's call for any code to UNcollapse our adventure logs. They look awful, awful awful collapsed and our "more" buttons aren't working and I refuse to go non-parchmenty. In fact, if anyone has made their adventure logs different from the Reforge version, I'd love to see!
@Meagoinc - As many OP customers, you could simply use the Wiki for your adventure summaries... but still looks my "Al-Qadim adventure log":https://aq-golden-voyages.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log

"Al-Qadim / Golden Voyages":https://aq-golden-voyages.obsidianportal.com/: Who among you dares to challenge the high seas?
Does anyone else have the problem that every Adventure Log is turned into a wiki page as well? When I search for a certain log entry, I always get two hits: one for the log and one for the wiki page. It's not exactly a big problem because the content is the same, but it clutters up the search and it's weird. To see what I mean, try searching for Nightmare in the "Rat's Nest":https://ratsnest.obsidianportal.com campaign for example.
@Meagoinc, I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for specifically, but I've altered the standard adventure log layout fairly significantly on my campaign. I can help you out if it's along the lines of what you'd like to have. Take a look at my "Adventure Log":https://dangerous-kalamar-4.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log and let me know.
EDIT: I'm still converting over to the new format from my previous wiki based model, so at around game session 30 or so it stops being adventure log and is wiki based still, but yeah.
Actually, I much prefer the new adventure log look. It is much easier for me to use than the previous one and I no longer have to break the text up with the little joining code. I simply just put a small picture at the top and this gives me just a title and picture for each log before clicking into it for the full thing. Have a look "HERE":https://mysteria.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log to see what I mean. The decor is in the CSS style of the rest of my campaing (big SHOUT to Wolfhound for his VANGUARD assistance).
