Does anyone know if it's possible to apply color attributes and the like to character slug links? As an example, I would really like the character name links generated by the slugs to be normal blue, instead of the light blue that is REALLY difficult to read on white background. I have tried various things with limited success so far:

WHAT HAS NOT WORKED: (assuming character name of bob)

%{color:blue}[[:bob]]%
%{color:blue}.[[:bob]]%
[[{color:blue}:bob]]
[[{color:blue}. :bob]]
[[:{color:blue}bob]]
[[:{color:blue}. bob]]
[[:%{color:blue}bob%]]

WHAT ESSENTIALLY WORKS BUT IS FAR MORE ANNOYING (assuming character name of bob)

[bob]ADDRESS-TO-BOB-CHARACTER

"{color:blue}Bob":bob

naturally I understand that I could do the 'longhand' HTML version of links, but what is the point of having nifty (and fast) character slugs if you have to do the full HTML style links just to change something small like the color.
All the best,

I think the slugs are something that are special to OP (don't quote me on this, though). I don't believe they created the slugs to be able to use CSS styling, which is what you're trying to do with the curly braces, so I'm not sure there is a way to use the slug and change the color.

Although, you could try p{color:blue}. [[slug]]

I don't know if that'd work or not, however.

A way around this is to put all your characters on the wiki. Myself and others have done this.

I think in this case that wouldn't make a difference since he wants to use the square brackets specifically for accessing the pages instead of using a full html/textile link.

Basically I can do the definition blocking to make it work the way that I want, but I was REALLY hoping to avoid having to make a massive block of those for all the characters that might need to be referenced per page. Having to copy/paste the address for each character is far more painful than character slugs.

Sometimes old fashioned gets the job done. That's really all there is to it.

That being said, though, whenever I make a new page (when I remember, anyway) I have a separate document where I have all my base code saved. You could put every character-code you currently have into a document like this and update accordingly. I've found I usually don't go back to a page that references a character and add another character, so it's unlikely I would have to constantly replace the updated code. If you're like me, this might be a helpful alternative.

So apart from putting characters in the wiki you only have one choice

    "{color:blue}Gron" :http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/the-circle-of-light/characters/gron

    without space between ":http
