Making Character NPC in other campaign

Does anyone know how to make the little thing that says, "Select as NPC: Would you like to make this character an NPC in one of your campaigns? If so, select the campaign below."?

Whenever I try it says the character is already in a campaign and it won't work.

I had the same problem, so I just cut and pasted it ( I don't use dynamic sheets).

I can only find the option to link to the character; is this a feature of the beta I've been hearing about?
