Ascendant Membership -- what happens when it ends?

Say I become an Ascendent Member but eventually have to let my membership run out. What happens to additional campaigns I've made beyond the two free ones? Can I get them back if I become a member again? Can I choose which two stay as the free ones?

The first two campaigns become your active campaigns, and the others become inactive, but no data is lost when your membership expires. When you re-ascend, then you regain access to the extra campaigns again. I believe that's how it works.

What about the extra picture space in the campaigns that remain active?
Do some pictures disappear?
