Underline?

I feel like this is a dumb question, but I want to underline part of my text and I can't for the life of me figure out how. Anyone know what to do?

Thanks in advance! (And hi! I finally gave in and made an account after being tired of not being able to organize my notes the way I wanted :P)

    anything between here will be underlined but you should not underline things that are not linked according to HTML etticut. Use the and signs to mark the areas.

    That was the first thing I tried and it didn't work. I'm not just randomly underlining stuff; it'll be clear it's not a link and I need something more than just bolding it to make it stand out (and italics isn't appropriate).

    I dont know then. I dont know of a way in textile. Perhaps the rest of OP might know
