I had an idea for mining sites like fark & Bn for unusual news to include in my campaign to make it feel a little more alive and introduce potential hooks/details players could decide to dive into and include as situations unfold. Plus it makes for a great way for me to hide clues in plain site without making it obvious that something is important :). it works well for my dresden game since it's set in modern day Florida, other time periods & systems/settings might involve more work. I'm pretty amazed at just how easy it was to warp a kernel of news into something campaign relevant, the Florida setting might be making it easier though.
I was wondering if anyone else has tried something like this in the past & if they have any suggestions?
