It seems that all youtube videos no longer have a picture on the site.... vimeo videos seem to be unaffected...
Anyone else notice this?

Hey sorry for the late response. I just checked and there seems to just be a text link to the youtube videos for many videos here on OP. I'm using firefox 6.0

Before it was more than a text link... Have tried Vimeo as well. TPMiller has his working, and was nice enough to share his code above, but it did not work for either Hurst or I.

I don't really know much about that stuff because I haven't ever tried to put a video up on any of my campaign pages. I'm sure in due time someone who knows a lot more about this stuff will be able to lend you a hand.I know chainsaw is quite code fluent, and there are others as well.

Hey,

I looked into this, and while I can get the video preview to function (It seems like it actually started working again on its own?) I cannot make any standard formatting codes work to resize the video. I think this is primarily due to the coding limitations in place on Obsidian Portal. While many div codes function as they would elsewhere, others seem to offer up strange results, or more often, no results at all.

The only solution I can fathom would be to reformat your video to a smaller natural resolution, bearing in mind that Youtube recently decided to make all videos show in widescreen format, even if they were not originally intended to be viewed that way.

Ok, so looking at your site, you still have the same problems... Will see if I can change the size of the video... Thanks for tackling this Dusk/Mike... Anyone have any other suggestions? (he asks as he scurries off to Vimeo, looking for answers there...As he thanks the Portal for bringing good souls such as Duskreign...)

Sorry it took me so long to drop in, I was out of town and out of touch. I haven't used embedded video at all, but I'll take a look at this tonight when I get home from work and see if I can't figure something out.

Hmm... yeah. And weird. I might have been able to help with the sizing issue, but there's nothing I can do about the videos not showing up in the first place. At a guess, some change to Obsidian Portal's parser has broken the automatic functionality which converts elements with the oembed class. Definitely submit a ticket about it, I'd suggest.

This has happened to my page on several occasions, and usually ends up working itself out after a few days. I've notified support several times in the past, but they have concluded that the issue is with YouTube, not OP.

Just saw this (yeah, negligent moderator I know). Sad days. I sure hope that this issue gets resolved soon because, while I've never made one myself, I know that allot of you have put allot of blood, sweat and tears into making those videos so stunning.
