Removing Wiki Page Titles

Is there a way to remove or hide the page header that appear at the top of each wiki page? I've seen it done a few times, but most recently by this campaign here: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/age-of-legends

Is this possible with a setting, or does it require some html magic?

He's using HTML magic there, and technically the normal header still exists. He's just positioning his custom header so it covers up the standard one. As far as I know, there's not a walk-through that anyone has put up on how to do it.

Hey there Gtaray, just noticed your inquiry. While I haven't put together a proper tutorial on how to do this, I do describe how I did it, as well as give the HTML code I'm using over at my site. You can find it here:

"HTML Templates for Age of Legends":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/age-of-legends/wikis/html-templates-for-age-of-legends

    Hi guys

Well, my first post to the forum. First off, Arsheesh and Chainsaw thank you so much for both the inspiration your OP sites have provided me and also the generosity you've shown by sharing your html magic. I should also mention i am a complete html noob and before reading your help and guides knew nothing about html coding.

However i have hit on an issue with replacing my navigation menu and I'm hoping you can help me.

So, using a mixture of the coding template on your site Arsheesh and the ImageMap tool Chainsaw (i think) suggested in another post i have put together the code for my nav. menu under my banner (see below for the coding) but I end up with an exaggerated gap before the text in my wiki starts. See my test page for what i mean: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/ellesland/wikis/test-page (PS how do you insert links into comments btw?)

    Here's my coding:

I'd greatly appreciate any help you or anyone on the forums can provide me with this.

Hi there Mordenheim, and welcome to the Portal! So I just had a peek at your test page (which looks very nice btw), and I'm afraid I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by the "exaggerated gap before [your] starts in [your] wiki page". The gap between the texts looks fine to me. Am I missing something? Just a guess but this might be an issue peculiar to one type of browser. I'm using Firefox, what type of browser are you using?

Oh, and to answer your other question, to use Textile code within the forums make sure to select the "Textile" field at the bottom of the comments page (where is asks how you want to format comments). The code for linking text to external pages is as follows: "Example Text Here":http://example.url.here.

    Cheers,

The OP asks if this is a setting one can activate, and indeed it seems not to be. I'd like to be able to do it rather easily as i find these titles are aesthethically ... challenging ;-) Consider it a feature request :-). Now, where does one go to do that proper ... ?
